Olivia Joy Kimble is the owner and primary midwife at Rochester Community Midwives. Her style of care includes traditional and modern approaches to maintaining good health during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Her practice is best suited for families who want to be active in their care and the decision-making process.

Olivia has a Master of Science in Midwifery from Bastyr University, a program known to be the nation’s leader in rigorous home birth midwifery education.  Olivia wrote her Master’s Thesis “Pelvic Health Evaluation in Pregnancy” and has presented nationally as an expert in midwifery-led pelvic health prevention and assessment. Care at RCM focuses on pelvic health, helping each person feel better during pregnancy and avoid prolapse and pain in the postpartum period.

Olivia is NARM-certified and state licensed—qualifications that identify her as a specialist in physiological birth in a community setting.  She also maintains current certifications in child and adult cardiopulmonary resuscitation, as well as neonatal-specific resuscitation training through the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Heart Association.

Olivia welcomed both of her children at home, supported by incredible midwives and her family. Outside of birth care, Olivia can be found helping at her daughter’s school and working at the family’s organic vegetable farm.
